I was born at 12th of November 1965 near Baden, Switzerland. After finishing my A-levels I wanted to get to know the world and that was the reason for working as a flight attendant for Swissair for nine years. During that time, I learnt that a lot of people are living in much worse conditions than we do and I wanted to give back something of my priviledged to the poors. I also wanted to do something concrete in a crisis area. So I applied for UN military observer in 2006 and the next two years I was living and working in Georgia, first in Abkhazia and after the new start of the conflict between Georgia and Russia in August 2008, I changed to South Ossetia. In March 2009 I returned back to my home and began an advanced study in conflict research and conflict resolution at the university of Basel. I will finish the studies with a thesis about the living conditions of the internally displaced people who were creating after the caucasus conflict in 2008. I’m married with Jutta for 15 years.
