Loredana Monte

Loredana Monte’s family is originally from the province of Caserta, near Napoli. She was born and raised in Switzerland and has studied Geography and Gender Studies in Bern and Cape Town. In September 2012 she decided to move to Italy in the midst of an economic super-crisis, believing (like the Chinese) that crisis and opportunity are two sides of the same coin. She currently lives in Bologna, where she works as a travel writer for an online video guide, while also setting up a project that aims at connecting social innovation, environmental awareness and responsible tourism, together with Laura Solinas.

Laura Solinas

Laura Solinas was born and raised in Alghero, Sardinia, before moving to Bologna in 2003 to study Social Anthropology. Believing that travelling, getting to know other cultures and having experiences abroad, enhanced with a new perspective her own culture, she spent a year as a foreign student at the Universidad de Sevilla, Spain in 2005. During the master’s degree she studied for a year at the Universidad Nacional in Bogota, Colombia, working on her thesis about cultural implications of the Gold Museum in the collective imagination of the modern society. She currently lives in Bologna, is studying for a Masters in Green and Sustainable Marketing while working on a project concerning responsible tourism and social innovation on the whole Italian territory.
