This trip will be led by Danny Buerkli, he has already led several IFIL.ch study trips, one of those was the 2008 trip to Yemen.

Danny Buerkli

Danny co-organized the 2008 IFIL.ch study trip to Yemen and serves currently on the board of the Initiative. He studied political science, public law and islamic culture at the Universities of Zurich and Geneva and will receive his Bachelors diploma any moment. From 2008 to 2009 he was a Swiss Youth Representative to the United Nations where he participated at several UN conferences as part of the Swiss delegation and worked towards youth-friendly policies and resolutions. In fall 2009 he spent four months at the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) in London, where the idea for this study trip came up. Currently he is a trainee at a Swiss embassy in the Gulf region.
