Israel/Palestine 06.06.2010 - 21.06.2010
David Weiss
After having finished my high-school in Bülach (ZH), I was living in an Israeli Kibbutz for three months and decided to study international relations. I enrolled at the University of Zurich but after a few years I felt that all the theories I was learning needed to be tested in the field. I did that during my exchange year at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2005-2006). Numerous visits to Palestinian towns and refugee camps and volunteering in a Palestinian civil society organization provided me with a deeper insight into the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I?m very interested in Middle Eastern Affairs and issues such as democratization and development. I was Researcher-in-Residence at the OSCE (Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe) and I graduated from the University of Zurich in autumn 2009. I currently work at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the state development agency of Switzerland in Bern.
