Bolivia 22.08.2008 - 07.09.2008

This ambitious project also includes an accordingly appealing travelling program and special activities that you will remember into your old age:

We plan to chew a few Coca leaves and buy some offerings for the tío before we accompany a group of miners in Potosi into a hundreds of meters deep zinc mine to help us understand in what working conditions they are earning their daily bread.

A trip with Bolivian students will lead us, after an impressive bus ride through the Andes (the highest peak we pass, the Cumbre, is at 5'000 meters above sea level), to the rain forest of the Yungas. There we will visit a Fair-Trade coffee plantation and spend the evening partying and dancing the traditional Saya with an Afro-Bolivian community..

Additionally, an encounter with young political activists from all across Bolivia in a two-day conference in La Paz, organized by Juventudes del MAS, will allow us to meet in person politically active young Bolivians and important political decision makers of the government in office.

Interested? If so, then please contact us for information, without any obligation of participating whatsoever, so that we can send you a more detailed program and additional information regarding costs, organisation, etc.
